YMC Brings in British Heritage Brand Hawksmill Denim Co. for Latest Capsule Collection

YMC taps into its British heritage in its latest capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2019, enlisting the traditional denim company Hawksmill Denim Co. to recreate the M2K jacket and tapered jean.
With both brands’ principles firmly rooted in British design, the two have reimagined two classic denim designs with a contemporary feel and specialist techniques, constructed from Japanese selvedge denim. Both the jacket and the jeans are available in a natural, raw-looking indigo dye denim and a hickory stripe ensemble.
The collaboration delivers a vintage look throughout the capsule thanks to the use of sturdy, substantial buttons, YMC-branded leather patches, elevated and updated classic fits and stiff denim. The collection focusses on comfort and function, finishing the jacket with front pleats and a boxy, oversized fit, whereas the jeans come relaxed for an overall traditional feel.
Being a heritage brand, Hawksmill Denim Co. naturally lends itself to traditional finishes and touches to set this collection apart from YMC’s usual denim offerings. Each piece is finished with a unique patina which develops from the construction process from using vintage denim looms, meaning the denim will age naturally with each wear.
Head to YMC stores and online to shop the collection, with the jacket priced from £175 to £195 GBP and the jeans from £140 to £165 GBP (approx. $230 to $255 and $180 to $215 USD respectively).
