YMC Releases Pattern-Heavy SS19 Collection
Inspired by Latin American art and 1940s subcultures.

YMC returns for Spring/Summer 2019 with a collection inspired by the freedom and expression that empowered the Chicano movement of 1940s California.
Signature pieces from the collection include a brown tiger print bowling shirt, a uniquely-YMC take on a Bowie Zip shirt – constructed from chambray with an embroidered bird man adorning the back chest pocket — as well as the array of loose-fitting, oversized trousers that fuse tradition and function with trend-forward silhouettes.
The collection features graphics and detailing in reference to Latin America. These touches include hand-woven Guatemalan rainbow tape seen on YMC’s jersey shorts, hoodies and T-shirts and a wave ikat design adorning staple wardrobe pieces.
The collection is completed by YMC’s recently-revealed Paraboots collaboration, a brown multi-hued calfskin leather and suede silhouette featuring leather laces and a welted sole.
Shop the collection at all YMC stores and online, ranging from £40 to £425 GBP (approx. $50 USD to $560 USD).
In case you missed it, Gorillaz and Levi’s teamed up on a customizable collaboration.
