ASICSTIGER Gives the GEL-Saga a Retro Zebra Update
A throwback to the archives.
ASICS continues its strong run of retro releases with its latest rendition of the ASICSTIGER, the GEL-Saga Zebra pack.
The Japanese icon looks into its archive for this Spring/Summer 2019 release, dressing the label’s heritage branding in two colorways of a ’90s zebra print, coming in “White/Teal” and “White/Flash Coral”.
The coral pair adorns a clean white suede and mesh upper with accents of bright blue and coral, whereas the teal zebra pair stands out with a mixture of white and teal suede, white mesh, teal outer soles, a signature coral top-eyelet and a two-tone royal blue and white tongue.
The ’90s silhouette combines its vintage look with GEL™ cushioning, compression moulded EVA™ midsoles and lightweight uppers, making for an at-the-time groundbreaking sneaker that blends today’s streetwear aesthetic with a heritage design, upholding its legacy in the sneaker-head community.
The ASICSTIGER GEL-Saga Zebra pack drops on March 1 at ASICSTIGER retailers and on asicstiger.com for €130 (approx. $145 USD).
