Sunspel Enlists Lemaire for Minimalistic SS19 Capsule Collection
British heritage meets French precision.
Lemaire has been enlisted by Sunspel to create a Spring/Summer 2019 capsule collection inspired by Sunspel’s English heritage and the shared passion for beautifully simple, quality staple pieces.
The four-piece collection offers of a full Lemaire x Sunspel outfit – composed of a light shirt jacket, elasticated wide-legged pants, an oversized mesh fabric T-shirt and an accompanying oversized tank top. The jacket and pants are available in both black and brown, whereas the two tops come in “Light Grey,” ”Cinnamon Orange” and “Midnight Blue.”
The blend of Sunspel’s fabric construction and Lemaire’s modern aesthetic and attention to detail creates a collection aimed at the minimalist’s in life. Lemaire’s design language is seen through the inclusion of low-placed pockets on the tops, as well as a revere collar and double pockets on the shirt jacket. Drawing inspiration from a pyjama archive dating back to 1860, the collections stellar trousers showcase Lemaire’s interpretation of the classic pyjama bottom, with an elasticated waist for comfort but welt pockets and wide legs to add a sophisticated and contemporary aesthetic.
