Samsung Shows the Durability of the Galaxy Fold in Latest Video
200,000 folds later.
Samsung took to its latest piece of marketing to address consumers’ concerns for the Galaxy Fold. Due to the design of the phone, and the number of times one would fold and unfold the device for everyday use, questions on its durability were raised upon its unveiling.
Samsung has now released a video showing the quality control measures that they go through to ensure that the main function of the Galaxy Fold will not be compromised. Using the scenario of someone opening and closing the phone 100 times a day over the course of five years, the phones are strapped to a machine that cycles through the motion roughly 200,000 times — a test that takes a full week to complete. Afterwards, the video reveals that the phones are a match for the exaggerated scenario.
Watch the video above for a short look at the Infinity Flex Display-equipped phones as they go through the wringer.
