'Hellboy' Shares New Red Band Trailer
Set to be rated-R.
Lionsgate has just dropped a new trailer for its highly-anticipated Hellboy revamp starring David Harbour of Stranger Things.
Though the new film is adapted from the comics of the same name, it won’t be connected to the previous Hellboy films which were helmed by fantasy master Guillermo del Toro. Check out the official synopsis below:
“Hellboy is back, and he’s on fire. From the pages of Mike Mignola’s seminal work, this action packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero (David Harbour, “Stranger Things”) called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue (Milla Jovovich, Resident Evil series), a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.”
Along with the trailer, two new posters were also shared by Summit Entertainment, showcasing Hellboy in all his glory. The film will be produced by the comic’s creator Mike Mignola and will star Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Penelope Mitchell, and Daniel Dae Kim alongside with Harbour.
Look for the rated-R Hellboy to land in theaters April 12. For more upcoming flicks, the new X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer shows Jean Grey’s rebirth.
