BEAMS Sub-Label SSZ & DC Shoes Team up for a Limited Kalis OG
Back from the 2000s.

BEAMS Japan’s Surf, Skate, Zine imprint SSZ is set to drop its take on Josh Kalis‘ DC Shoes pro-model skate sneaker.
Playing off nostalgia, the white/navy/yellow colorway is a nod to the ’90s-era of skate shoes, featuring a yellow notebook tag under the top tongue, while a second padded tongue completes the package — a detail that hints back to the early days of how skaters would cut out the tongue of old shoes and slip them into their current sneakers for extra padding.
The sneaker features leather and suede construction, an air-cushioned midsole, and a pill-like tread on the outsole. The SSZ x DC Shoes Kalis OG can be found now at Beams’ Harajuku location in Japan and will be made available at DC’s online store for a price of $125 USD.
