Since 2014, LVMH Prize has sought and cultivated the careers of young fashion designers from across the world. This year, a record 1,700 applicants entered the contest, which was narrowed down to a shortlist of just 20 nominees across 15 different countries. Talented names like Kiko Kostadinov, Paria Farzaneh and Emily Adams Bode made the cut, with an invitation to present during the showroom of the Prize on March 1 and 2 where the nominee list will be reduced to eight. The final winner is slated to be announced later in June. The 62-person panel included reputable figures in the fashion industry like Naomi Campbell, Sarah Andelman, Joerg Koch, Kevin Ma, Karlie Kloss, Carine Roitfeld and Suzy Menkes, among others.
After the first day of the event, the finalists were able to rub elbows with established designers like Virgil Abloh, Heron Preston and Kris Van Assche, along with Delphine Arnault who leads the Prize.
