Nike's Air Tailwind Gets a Retro Refresh in "Team Orange/Tour Yellow"
A colorful update for the ’70s runner.

Making its debut in the late ’70s and introducing a new cushioning technology, Nike brought back the Air Tailwind ‘79 just late last year. After seeing various iterations in mainly monochromatic shades in the last few months, the Swoosh now gives a colorful update to the timeless model.
Tour Yellow and light gray panels can be seen throughout the upper, along with Blue Tint on the heel tab and inner linings. A bright orange Swoosh along the lateral makes a bold statement, with branding on the tongue and heel following the color scheme. The footwear balances a combination of mesh, suede and leather materials referencing its classic predecessor through its overall silhouette.
Take a closer look at the sneaker above and expect this version to hit retailers on April 1.
