Rag & Bone Uses AI to Host a Dinner Party and Preview FW19 Collection
‘A Last Supper’ combines man and machine’s point of view, scored by Thom Yorke.
After eschewing the traditional New York Fashion Week runway, Rag & Bone returns with an innovative conceptual video titled ”A Last Supper” to showcase its Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
Hosted by founder Marcus Wainwright, Christine Jones (Queen of the Night) and producer Nigel Godrich, 50 guests including Lakeith Stanfield, Justin Theroux and Oscar Isaac were invited to a dinner party at the The Weylin in Brooklyn while donning Rag & Bone’s upcoming wares. The lineup reaffirmed the brand’s familiar aesthetic of fusing influences from military wear, Americana and classic British tailoring as a bespoke dinner menu was served and choreographed dance routines took place.
Meanwhile, an Artificial Intelligence machine created by technologist Ross Goodwin was also invited as a special guest. The AI system captured point cloud data of the attendees using computer vision and a depth camera. Throughout the evening, it learned and analyzed the different images and actions of the guests, and used the data to generate unique visuals seen in the video above.
