HAVEN's Latest Editorial Focuses on sacai's SS19 Collabs
With bold prints and deconstructed designs.
Popular Canadian-based retailer HAVEN has just released an editorial featuring sacai’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
Highlights of the Chitose Abe-designed range include collabs with Dr. Woo and Pendleton. The renowned tattoo artist’s signature white eagle illustration is embroidered with corresponding geometric figures on the front and back of the co-created stadium jacket. The garment is also detailed with a cursive “sacai” branding on the chest while zip fastenings run down the sides and sleeves. As for the crossover with the long-established American textile manufacturer Pendelton, the co-labeled assemblage is characterized by its bold tribal pattern appearing on the multi-colored cotton shirts.
No stranger to the Japanese brand’s iconic cut-and-sew aesthetic, the repertoire spotlights a hybrid denim jacket fusing design elements of the military-inspired MA-1 bomber. A similar contrast of various textures and hues can be seen on the deconstructed Floral Fairisle Knit Hoodie, juxtaposing a vibrant orange and purple palette with the black and navy muted base. Besides the aforementioned items, this season also features bandana-printed pieces, graphic T-shirts and hoodies as well as dual branded shoulder bags.
With prices ranging from $250 CAD to $1,380 CAD (approximately $190 USD to $1,047 USD), the Sacai Spring/Summer 2019 collection is currently available on its official website and at select stockists.
