The creative culture of the United States’ most distinct communities has been on full view for Courvoisier’s In Honor of Your City initiative. Under the curative vision of director Kid Art, we headed to seven cities across the country — from New York to LA. Vic Mensa and Rhude Founder, Rhuigi Villasenor, were of the many tapped to detail how their passions in art, music and fashion were informed by their environment and collaborating with their peers. In tandem, the all-star cast dispelled myths that belied what they feel truly personifies their home’s culture. Though each town possesses its own personality, there is a certain universal quality that is true city-to-city: To establish success, it takes passion and a strong work ethic to rise-up against the status-quo.
