adidas Originals Continental 80 Goes Classic Grey

A subtle twist is all it takes.

adidas Originals reveals a new colorway for its Continental 80 tennis-inspired sneaker, this time giving the clean silhouette a subtle grey makeover.

Officially coded as “Grey/Grey/Scarlet,” the low-top sneaker utilizes premium leather to clad the simple design, but adds a bit of flair with its green and blue two-toned stripe — a color combo that strikes a vintage look. The overall grey makeup also provides the wearer with flexibility when it comes to styling, while also providing a shade that’s friendly for those too paranoid to wear an all-white kick. The terry cloth interior also gives the tennis sneaker an air of authenticity, while the bright gold “adidas” branding highlights luxury with a pop.

The sneaker is a close relative to the collaborative Transport for London x adidas Originals Continental 80, which swaps the blue and green stripe for two palettes of green, set against purple hits.

The adidas Originals Continental 80 “Grey/Grey/Scarlet” is now available from retailers like LUISAVIAROMA for $128 USD. Should you prefer a cleaner iteration, adidas also released the Continental 80 in off-white.
