'Tekken 7' Reveals Ganryu and Fahkumram for Season 3
New character Leroy joins the battle later this week.
Bandai Namco has announced the third and fourth fighters being added to Tekken 7 season 3, revealing returning character Ganryu and newcomer Fahkumram. Previously seen in Tekken 6, Sumo wrestler Ganryu makes his return, this time as an online streamer of sorts. Meanwhile, the intimidatingly tall Muay Thai champion Fahkuram is helicoptered in and dropped into a fight with Craig Marduk, quickly dispatching the MMA expert.
Leroy Smith —- who was revealed and cosplayed by T-Pain earlier this year —- will also make his introduction into the title by the end of this week. Ganryu is expected to arrive sometime in February 2020 with Fakuram expected to arrive at a later date. Season 3 will also give fans access to previously released character Zafina, as well as a new stage and frame display data.
December is a pretty notable month for the veteran fighting game series. This past weekend, the Tekken World Tour championship wrapped up, with a Japanese player taking home the prize for the first time. Yuta “Chikurin” Take’s Akuma swept Soo-hoon “Ulsan” Lim’s Kazumi, despite Ulsan’s commanding performance earlier in the tourney. The final bout was approximately twenty minutes long, just slightly shorter than Arslan Ash and Knee’s finale at Evo 2019’s Tekken tourney in August.

Most recently, Pure Arts — the company responsible for the Tekken World Tour’s stunning golden trophy — released an extremely detailed Devil Jin sculpture, capping the TWT and another great year for the fighting game.
