During Art Basel Miami Beach 2019 this past weekend, Tom Sachs unveiled a new Shop Chair in olive drab at Salon 94’s booth. Although the signature furniture item sold out at the annual showcase, Sachs held back a number of chairs to release exclusively to his followers.

“He knew not everyone could make it to Art Basel,” as per a statement from his team. “The Shop Chair (Olive Drab) is a limited batch production, we may or may not do this again.”

The Shop Chair is made of premium maple plywood and arrives fully assembled with rubber flex-mounts and stainless steel screws. It weighs approximately 15.5 pounds with the dimensions of 33.5” x 18.5” x 18.5” wide. Completing the design are hand-engraved edition plates.

Purchase one at Tom Sachs’ online store starting 12 p.m. EST this December 9 for $2,500 USD each. It will ship on or before December 13, 2019.

Elsewhere in design, Miu Miu & M/M Paris launched a customizable stool for Design Miami/ 2019.
