sacai Taps 'The Big Lebowski' For Graphic-Heavy SS20 Capsule Collection
Referencing the cult classic’s best lines.
Chitose Abe‘s Japan-based imprint sacai has officially released the start of its Spring/Summer 2020 collection, kicking off with a The Big Lebowski-inspired capsule.
The SS20 pieces include hooded sweatshirts and T-shirts adorned with both iconic phrases from the 1998 crime-comedy film and its title logo. The Big Lebowski was directed by Joel and Ethan Coen and only recently became a cult classic for its eccentric characters and dramatic storyline.
As a result, sacai puts the focus on some of the film’s best moments, such as when the pornographer’s hitmen urinate on Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski’s rug following a misunderstanding. Sayings such as “That rug really tied the room together” and “Yeah, well, you know, that’s your opinion, man” grace the front of hoodies and T-shirts, while other pieces sport the film’s branding on the front and back.
