Midnight Studios & Converse Unveil Luxe Suede Inside-Out Pro Leather
The latest collaborative pair from the Shane Gonzales-helmed imprint.
Shane Gonzales‘ California-born label Midnight Studios and Converse have teamed up once more on a collaborative pair of inside-out Pro Leathers.
The collaboration continues on from 2018’s rework of the Chuck Taylor All Star 70 and One Star, which also sported a similar inside-out theme. For 2019, Midnight Studios continues the look with its Converse Pro Leather in “White/Egret/Black” by featuring an exposed size and information tab on the tongue alongside various other reversed details throughout the shoe.
Inside-out elements include the material markers on the lateral rear-quarter, the reversed Pro Leather stamp on the mid-panel and the barely-there Converse logo at the back. The full-suede sneaker is contrasted by black stitching on the mid-panels, branded lace locks and a standout pair of laces that feature both brands’ monikers, Shane Gonzales’ name, and the statement “This is a production model. Converse warrants that this product is fit for purpose and without flaws in design.”
Take a look at the Midnight Studios x Converse Pro Leather in the gallery above, and cop a pair on December 7 via retailers such as Sneakersnstuff for £99 GBP (approx. $127 USD).
