Cam O'Bi Unveils First New Single Since 2018, "Grammy's Babies"
A new song off his forthcoming debut LP.
Cam O’bi is back with his first new original effort since the 2018 release of his debut solo offering “Tenderheaded.” Known as “Grammy’s Babies,” the award-winning artist’s new record serves as the latest single for Grown Ass Kid, his first full-length album as a solo act. Besides today’s song, Grown Ass Kid will also feature collaborations with Chance the Rapper, Smino, theMIND and more.
“Hidden away in a quiet forest, a deserted old cabin sits alone. Although empty, the cabin stirs quietly inside, breathing the beat of the wilderness in and out through its open doors and windows. Howling winds swing its creaky doors, while the wood floors squeak along to the rhythm of an empty rocking chair,” Cam O’Bi shares with us, unveiling his new single’s accompanying statement. “The world outside is dark, its stars forgotten. And the sun has come down to ignite the fireplace for the ghost of an old widow who sits rocking back and forth before the flames, humming this tune. Don’t you forget about those fallen stars.”
