Tei Shi Drops Sophomore Album 'La Linda'
The followup to 2017’s ‘Crawl Space.’
Indie-pop starlet Tei Shi has shared her latest studio album, La Linda via Downtown Records. Clocking in at 40 minutes, the 11-track sophomore effort only features one guest appearance from frequent collaborator Blood Orange on “Even If It Hurts.”
La Linda marks a new chapter in the Colombian-Canadian musician’s career as she moved across the country from New York City to Los Angeles. “I felt like I was closing a chapter in my life that was tied up in a lot of negativity, and reconnecting with open space and my own creativity in a way that I hadn’t in a very long time,” Tei Shi said in a press release. “I wanted this whole project to reflect the feeling of stepping into another world that’s almost surreal or fantastical in its beauty.”

In other new music releases, Beck and Pharrell have dropped off “Everlasting Nothing” from Beck’s upcoming album, Hyperspace.
