Following previous collaborations with Alexander Wang and AMBUSH, Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster returns with its latest Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Focusing on the new “Flatba” series, Gentle Monster offers five acetate designs for a sophisticated and lightweight fit.
Entitled “Fearless; Facing the unknown,” the first campaign of 2020 explores bravado and curiosity in the unknown world. Reflecting the spirit of the brand, photographer Hugo Comte portrays the thrill of discovering the unknown rather than the fear of it. Of the “Flatba” series, the square “MY MA 01” sunglasses are informed by soft curves, while the “HER 01” oversized frames are accentuated with circular details. The compressed “LANG 01” sunglasses have a smoothly curved acetate body and the “SOLO 01” sunglasses boast round lenses. Finally, the square “DREAMER 17 01” sunglasses exude a perfect ratio of lines and curves.
“Fearless; Facing the unknown” is a partial release of the entire 2020 collection. The “Flatba” sunglasses, along with new “T Optical” titanium glasses, are available to shop now on Gentle Monster’s website. Expect more eyewear styles to drop in December.
