Originally unveiled at Dior Men’s Spring/Summer 2020 presentation in Paris designed by contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, we now have a closer look at the French luxury fashion label’s collaboration with RIMOWA.
Created by Dior Men’s Artistic Director Kim Jones, the luggage capsule is centered around an expression of old and new. The special range marks some of RIMOWA’s most popular carrying options with Dior’s recognizable Oblique pattern in a celebration of the heritage and future of both brands.
The Cabin Trunk, Champagne Case and Hand Case highlight the luggage purveyor’s lauded craftsmanship, expertise and technical innovation through an innovative combination of anodizing processes that apply the Oblique pattern using vibrant pigments inscribed directly onto the outer aluminum shells. A standout of the capsule and sure to be a highly sought after accessory is the Hand Case style, which is being revived for the first time. The carrying option is an updated take on RIMOWA’s Piccolo Case from the early ’90s and comes complete with an exotic crocodile leather cross-body strap for secure personal carry wear.
