Denzel Curry's "SPEEDBOAT" Visual Shows a Regression of Gang Involvement
A highly-cinematic offering from the Florida rapper.
Following the release of his recent ZUU album earlier this year, Denzel Curry has shared a new video for project highlight “SPEEDBOAT,” honing in on much of the project’s motifs surrounding Florida and the track’s focus on the discourse brought on by “the fast life.”
Directed by Jaimie Sánchez, the newly released visual is a cinematic tour de force. With a regressive storyline, the video starts with a reversed shot of a Scarface-esque criminal (played by Curry) in a Florida mansion being robbed by a group of conspirators. As the video unfolds, audiences see the rapper running from his rivals before diving into documentary-style footage of individuals who’ve lost friends due to violence. Furthermore, the video shows a young Curry selling and moving drugs before the final scene, which sees the rapper working in a corner store as he’s approached by a man who attempts to bring him into the criminal underworld.

For more music news, Curry recently joined PlayThatBoiZay for a new “POISON KLAN” visual.
