For its latest Fall/Winter 2019 installment, Stone Island has teamed with ECCO leather on a vivid capsule of garment-dyed boots and vests. The richly-saturated pieces are crafted of leather and the lightweight fabrication Dyneema, which have been fused together in order to create an “unusually high tensile strength.”

Dubbed the Exostrike Boot, the footwear features a nylon canvas upper that’s offered in colors such as “Pistachio Green,” “Avio Blue,” orange and burgundy. The midsole has been equipped with an anatomically profiled template, which has been injected with ECCO’s Fluidform technology to help enhance shock absorption. Due to the glue-less bonding process that connects the sole with the upper, the boots are then able to withstand the high temperatures needed for the garment dye process to finish off the kicks.

Similarly, the vests have also gone through the intensive production process, resulting in a reversible silhouette that can be worn with either the leather or Dyneema fabrication on the outside. Other details include large pockets at the waist, a ribbed nylon collar and a zippered closure. For added functionality, the Dyneema side also includes diagonal velcro bands that give the option of attaching up to four nylon pockets.

The Exostrike Boot is priced at $578 USD, while the Leather/Dyneema Vest retails for $4,055 USD. All items are available now at Stone Island’s webstore. Scroll below for a glimpse into how the shoes are created.

Elsewhere, the Italian label released a set of “Paintball Camo” jackets and pants earlier this month.
