Kiko Kostadinov Taps Claude Nori's 'Lunettes' Photography Book in Two-Piece Capsule
Evocative snapshots are added to a T-shirt and zip-up top.
Kiko Kostadinov has tapped the seminal French-Italian photographer Claude Nori for a capsule collection comprised of a T-shirt and zip-up top.
Nori is known for his time spent photographing Italian holiday scenes, often catching locals and travelers off guard in their natural habitat. The candid snapshots built the foundations for Nori’s fame, and now Kiko Kostadinov references the photographer — specifically his abstract book Lunettes (Sunglasses) – for an upcoming two-piece collection.
Both garments feature a picture taken from Lunettes, with the T-shirt wearing its print on the front and the zip-up top sporting a smaller top-left graphic. The images are evocative and poignant, channeled via the print of someone holding a gun to their head while making a face. Both are finished with button hardware on the cuffs of the zip-up top and on the rear neckline of the T-shirt.
In addition to the capsule collection, the Kostadinov studio will also present its new permanent space at Dover Street Market London which features an installation by Vanillajellaba. The works were previously shown at The Serpentine Park Nights in August.
The Claude Nori x Kiko Kostadinov pieces will be sold exclusively through the designer’s website and at Dover Street Market London, on October 5. The T-shirt is priced at £125 GBP (approx. $154 USD), while the zip-up top retails for £290 GBP (approx. $359 USD).
