As The Hollywood Reporter reveals, the Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage are teaming up to put together a new Michael Jackson musical titled Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough — looking to the 1979 hit of the same name for titular inspiration. The show will take place at Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre, and its first round of performances is scheduled to begin on October 29. Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough will also come to Broadway on 2020.
Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough features Christopher Wheeldon as its primary choreographer and director and takes its narrative from Jackson’s prolific, storied run in his 20s and 30s. The event will also reportedly serve as a platform for the debut of a new book from Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage.
Earlier this month, Virgil Abloh honored Michael Jackson during Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2018 Paris Fashion Week showcase.
