Sporting a similar design to September’s collaborative tracksuit, mastermind JAPAN has cooked up another collaborative Vans release for longtime partner, Japanese retailer California Dept. The brief collaboration encompasses a black T-shirt and pair of Slip-On sneakers, with mastermind’s skull-and-crossbones logo appearing throughout. Accompanied by Vans’ trademark “OFF THE WALL” slogan on the T-shirt, the skulls are tonally embroidered across the toe of the Slip-Ons, with contrasting gold “Mastermind” branding realized across the rear. “JAPAN” stitching and leather trim completes the elevated skate shoes.
The pair of exclusives is only available on January 9 at California Dept. via a raffle.
Most recently, mastermind JAPAN joined forced with Doublet for a capsule commemorating Riccardi’s 40th anniversary.
