LOEWE Channels Emoji in FW19 Campaign Imagery

An ode to contemporary communication.

Shot by legendary shutterbug Steven Meisel, LOEWE‘s Fall/Winter 2019 campaign is an ode to a cornerstone of modern day conversation: emoji. Saturated with yellow, color portraits nod to Hysteria or Despair; Julia Nobis’ makeup, clothing and expressions are all attuned to best bring the tiny yellow cartoon faces to life. Bolstering the portraits is an image of model Yassine Jajoui wearing a fur-trimmed hoodie inside a candy store, the dark color of her tall, zippered boots and loose trousers playing off the rich hues of the surrounding snacks. The campaign is rounded out by still life images of the bags and accessories from the collection, an ode to LOEWE’s famed craftsmanship.

Check out the campaign above, soon to appear on posters in France later this month, and stay tuned for LOEWE’s debut menswear collection.

Most recently, LOEWE debuted its outdoorsy EYE/LOEWE/NATURE collection.
