Taking inspiration from the MA-1 flight jacket, Buzz Rickson enlists its knowledge in time-tested textiles and metal hardware, and combines that with Porter’s expertise in portable luggage — the end result is a truly functional and sturdy backpack.
Made in the outskirts of Tokyo, at Porter Yoshida’s factory, the backpack features a custom-built Buzz Rickson nylon outer, a reinforced bottom, anodized crown zippers, inner pocket/laptop sleeves, a padded back and straps, and incorporates a front-middle pocket that’s reminiscent to the MA-1’s utility “cigarette” pocket.
