Lil Peep, Fall Out Boy & iLoveMakonnen Connect on "I've Been Waiting"
Peep described his sound as a mix of those artists.
A couple weeks after the release of the video for “16 Lines,” another posthumous Lil Peep record has surfaced. Once again, iLoveMakonnen has taken it upon himself to release Lil Peep’s latest offering, choosing to drop a Lil Peep, Fall Out Boy and ILoveMakonnen collaboration known as “I’ve Been Waiting.”
“All the songs that Peep and I have worked on are special to me. I knew adding his heroes Fall Out Boy to ‘I’ve Been Waiting,’ would be a tribute to my friend and collaborator that I could feel proud of,” reads an official press statement from iLoveMakonnen. “When I called Pete [Wentz] he immediately said yes, and it came together very quickly. I’m really excited to share this with the fans.” In a previous interview with XXL, Lil Peep also described his own sound as a blend of iLoveMakonnen and Fall Out Boy.
