An Official Look at Junya Watanabe's FW19 New Balance Collaborations
Unveiled at the COMME des GARÇONS’ designer’s Paris presentation.
Aside from revealing a Canada Goose team up, Junya Watanabe also unveiled a choice collaboration between COMME des GARÇONS and New Balance during his Fall/Winter 2019 collection presentation at Paris Fashion Week. Constructed of premium textiles, the shoes were used to accent the patchwork and heritage styling that defined Junya’s “Silver Swagger” range.
The subtle takes on the 990v5, 1500 and 574 maintain the classic aesthetic associated with New Balance, with clean two-tone colorways. A sportswear edge on the shoes comes in the form of embedded ENCAP sole technology, which adds a polyurethane encapsulated EVA wedge to sole units for superior stability and cushioning.
