ALMOSTBLACK Delivers Multicolored Militaria for SS19
Holster vests, bondage cargo pants and glitched camo.
Designers Shunta Nakajima & Masaki Kawase present “MULTIPLE EXPOSURES,” the Spring/Summer 2019 offering from ALMOSTBLACK. The Japanese duo honed their skills at Raf Simons & N.HOOLYWOOD before launching their own label, blending the youthful punk inclinations of the former with the latter’s attention to detail, fully realized with this latest collection.
Militaristic cargo jackets and pants are upgraded with bondage straps and bold accents of color, yielding a playful subversion of both styles. Deconstructed and patchworked knitwear is layered beneath holster bag-laden trench coats and bombers, with thematic orange and blue shades appearing throughout. “GOOD STUDENT” verbiage and rose imagery is printed throughout, complementing the strappy layering pieces and collegiate-inspired coat of arms graphics.
