Good News, You Can Now Add Music Onto Your Tinder Profiles
Share some of your favorite smashes.
Infamous dating app, Tinder has just teamed up Spotify to give users a new way to connect with each other – through music. Much like their most recent integration of Instagram, the same is now true for Spotify. Users will now have the option of checking out each other’s music tastes from their most-played songs on Spotify lists. The good news is, even if you don’t have Spotify, Tinder will still allow you to use the music streaming app to add your “Tinder Anthem” to your profile, a la MySpace.
“Music is an important part of making new connections and getting to know existing ones,” says Tinder CEO Sean Rad. “Just like you go to the bar that plays your favorite music, you’re likely attracted to the people at that bar who enjoy the same music. We want to do the same thing with the Spotify integration.”
In addition to “Tinder anthems” and most-played music, Tinder is also launching Tinder Music, in collaboration with Spotify. The initiative will help users find the right playlist for all the moments such as “Pre-Swipe”, “Discovery”, “Match”, “Love at First Swipe”, and “Date Night.” More details can be seen above.
