London phenom Octavian announces Spaceman, his forthcoming mixtape that follows last year’s Essie World. Spaceman will drop on Sept. 10. To accompany the announcement, Octavian shares new song “Revenge,” along with its video. The visual is directed by Kill Farrell and Armin Druz. You can check that out above.
Spaceman is a 14-track mixtape that features guests Suspect, A2, Swift, and Krimbo, while producers include J-Rick, Rudimental’s Amir Amor, Elevated, O12, and Lil Silva, alongside Octavian himself. Virgil Abloh created the cover art with Armin Druzanovic and Michael Phan. He originally broke out with his breakout single, “Party Here” last year. Drake is a big fan of Octavian, often times using the young London singer-rapper’s lyrics as Instagram captions.
Octavian spoke about potentially making music with Drake during an interview with Julie Adenuga on Beats 1. “You know what it is, I love Drake innit I literally listened to him since I was a young man, he’s been at the top of the game for years,” he says. “If I do a track with him now yeah, you could just imagine what it’d be like, Octavian Drake, you might as well just call me Drake. You might as well, it is, it is true though, I wanna at least make my own name first.”
