Virgil Abloh to Cover 'Business of Fashion' "#BoF500" Magazine
Alongside Yara Shahidi, François-Henri Pinault and Kalpona Akter.
After appearing on last year’s list, Virgil Abloh is set to grace the cover of Business of Fashion‘s annual “#BoF500” print magazine. Virgil’s cover describes him as “the disruptor” and is one of four special-edition issues. The other three covers featuring Kering chairman François-Henri Pinault (“the pioneer”), actress Yara Shahidi (“the future”) and Kalpona Akter (“the activist”), formerly a child worker who is now executive director of the Bangladesh Center for Worker Solidarity.
Announcing the “#BoF500” cover stars, Business of Fashion founder and editor-in-chief Imran Amed explained that the publication “decided to embrace optimism and focus our lens on the people who are tackling some of these issues head-on.” The full list of the 500 most influential people in fashion will be revealed later this month.
