Nike’s Kobe A.D. Gets Reworked in Light Pink
A softer side of Mamba.
Ever since DeMar DeRozan debuted Kobe Bryant’s new Kobe A.D. silhouette while suiting up for his Drew League team last month, Nike has unveiled the signature hoops sneaker in a handful of color schemes, with yet another new rendition prime to hit the scene in the coming weeks ahead.
A subtle light pink hue swarms the upper, while complementary hits of blue, grey and black add further contrast and depth. Characteristic of the silhouette is the string of numbers making its way down the right shoe — 08, 23 and 78 — alluding to Mamba’s birthday, while the left side highlights the digits 33, 08 and 24 — reminiscent of his jersey numbers. Emblazoned on both respective heel counters are Kobe’s signature logo and name, which help tie the new look together. Priced at $140 USD, you can find this new Kobe A.D. at select Nike retailers soon.
