Eminem's 'Kamikaze' Debuts No. 1 on Billboard 200
This is his ninth album to land on top of the charts.
Eminem‘s surprise new Kamikaze LP debuts on top of the Billboard 200, earning him his ninth career No. 1 album. Billboard reports, the LP sold an impressive 434,000 equivalent units, with 252,000 in traditional album sales. The numbers for Kamikaze are a big improvement from his previous album Revival, which only sold 267,000 units in its first week.
With Eminem’s ninth No. 1 album, he’s only behind The Beatles (19), Jay-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand (11) and Elvis Presley (10), for the most in history. Em’s is also fourth in first-week sales this year, only behind Drake, Travis Scott and Post Malone.
It was recently revealed by producer Illadaproducer that the song “Good Guy” off of Em’s album samples popular anime Tokyo Ghoul.
