Although discontinued in 2010, the Lamborghini Murcielago remains as a benchmark for many exotic cars being produced today. Going under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions is a very interesting variant of the LP640-4. Originally unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2006, the Lamborghini Murcielago “Versace” featured the factory-tuned 631 hp, 6.5-litre-V12 engine, but was distinguished by the fact that it was an official collaboration between the supercar brand and the Italian fashion house.

Although the exterior is kept quite simple in Aldebaran gloss-black paint, you can’t help but notice Versace’s Greek meander design at the base of the car’s iconic doors. It’s the interior where Versace really left its imprint; incorporating bi-color Nero over Bianco leather seats stitched with the Versace Greco motif, a Gianni Versace logo plaque at the centre console, and a complete set of Versace-branded luggage.

With only 11,500kms (7,500 miles) on the odometer, this rare supercar has been kept in exceptional shape considering it is over a decade old. The LP640-4 “Versace” is estimated to fetch somewhere between £150,000 – £170,000 GBP (approximately $197,00 – $223,000 USD) and will make for a interesting ride for those that, not only have the money, but share a love for automobiles and fashion.
