The Weeknd Lands Two Guinness World Records
‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ was incredibly successful.

The Weeknd‘s 2015 album Beauty Behind the Madness saw him evolve into a bonafide global phenomenon. The project broke a multitude of sales records, which has now been honored with two milestones in the Guinness World Records 2017 Edition. Beauty Behind The Madness broke the record for the most streamed album on Spotify in one year, accumulating 60 million listeners between December 1, 2014 and December 1, 2015. On top of that, The Weeknd also landed the record for most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, racking up 45 consecutive weeks between March 7, 2015 and January 9, 2016. His consistent chart success was thanks to a continuous stream of hit singles: “Earned It,” and two No. 1s – “Can’t Feel My Face,” and “The Hills.”
