Nike Honors a Classic NBA Rivalry with "Pinstripe" Pack
“1Cent” collides with “AIR.”
Prior to basketball fans debating about Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, many other rivalries would provide entertainment for NBA fans in the 90s. One of those competitive bouts were between Penny Hardaway and Scottie Pippen. To commemorative their battles on the hardwood, Nike will be launching a special “Pinstripe” pack including the Nike Air Max Penny 1 and Nike Air More Uptempo models. Each sneaker will host Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls-inspired colorways respectively. In addition, pinstriped branding is added to each sneaker in remembrance of Hardaway and Pippen’s nostalgic jerseys.
Nike’s “Pinstripe” pack is expected to launch on August 11 with the Air Max Penny 1 and Air More Uptempo to retail for $160 USD each.
