Lil Yachty & Donny Osmond Team up for Chef Boyardee Theme Song
Titled “Start The Par-Dee.”
What seemingly looks to have come out of left field, Lil Yachty and Donny Osmond have teamed up for a new Chef Boyardee theme song, “Start The Par-dee.”
Marking the 90th anniversary of the canned pasta, the classic Chef Boyardee track has been revamped with Lil Yachty’s signature lyrical stylings which are then joined by ’60s boy band legend Donnie Osmond. Acting as part of the company’s “Throwback Recipe Series,” Jason Peterson of Havas Creative advertising agency stated, “This work pays tribute to the past and the future of the classic Chef Boyardee brand. We gave every audience, from baby boomers to millenials, something that they could relate to, formed an idea around it and released it in a modern way by doing a full length music video.”
Besides signing the track, both Lil Yachty and Donny co-wrote and co-produced the single. Along with the new theme song, the duo have even filmed a two-and-a-half-minute visual to accompany the track. Watch it all above.
