Kendrick Lamar has been added as a performer at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, which is taking place on August 27. The Compton rapper leads with eight nominations at the award show, including “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year” and “Best Hip-hop. Other nominees include The Weeknd, Lorde, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and more. The VMAs will happen live from The Forum in Inglewood, CA at 8PM EST. This will be the second time Lamar will take the stage at the VMAs; his first was 2013 when he performed his Robin Thicke feature “Give It 2 U” with Thicke, Miley Cyrus and 2 Chainz.
