Kanye West to Cover 'Harper's Bazaar' September "Icons" Issue
With North and Saint.
Harper’s Bazaar has revealed the cover stars for its September “Icons” issue, with Kanye West appearing on one issue. West is set to cover the subscribers issue along with his two eldest children, North and Saint. This is the second time that ‘Ye has covered the annual “Icons” issue following 2016’s appearance with Kim Kardashian West. Kanye’s cover story also features a question about his hopes for his children, to which he answers: “I hope my children never lose their confidence to society.”
The children theme continues onto the other cover stars, with the likes of Mariah Carey, Bruce Springsteen and Erykah Badu all appearing with their children. All cover photos were shot by Mario Sorrenti. Harper’s Bazaar Global Fashion Director Carine Roitfeld explained the family theme to WWD: “I’m a very family-oriented person, so I wanted to meet the families of some of my biggest music idols … It was very amazing to see that some of the industry’s most groundbreaking rock stats have a sense of tenderness with their loved ones — even if they are adults.”
Kanye also recently shared some early sketches of YEEZY’s 2019 line-up.
