Earlier last month, we visited Gentle Monster and Xander Zhou’s collaborative eyewear silhouette, along with a brief social media raincoat tease. And now, with the outerwear item preparing for its big reveal next week, new images of the co-designed garment have begun making its rounds online.

Fashioned from full-on polyester, the core black GMXZ coat features both rain and wind-proof capabilities with a slew of creative elements to show for it. Oversized in stature, the coat highlights a removable hood, mask, and scarf for when the need arises, in addition to reflective scotch details found on the sleeves and front area. When viewed from a distance, the coat appears to take on dual layers, with a kimono-style shell laying comfortably atop an inner snap button layer. The GMXZ coat will make its debut on September 5 via Gentle Monster’s online shop.
