DJ Premier & Casanova Bring Back the '90s for Gritty New "WUT U SAID?" Video
Directed by the legendary Daniel Hastings.
Following an appearance on Drake’s new Scorpion album, DJ Premier reconnects with Brooklyn rapper Casanova for a new music video in support of their recently-released single “WUT U SAID?”
Originally released on July 20 via Payday Records, “WUT U SAID?” receives its own visual courtesy of iconic hip-hop photographer Daniel Hastings. Hastings was one of the main visual artists who helped document the ’90s rap scene, having shot album covers for Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Big Pun and others.
“I went back to my 90’s style of shooting, edgy and raw,” explains Hastings. “The fans are going to go nuts when they see this video because I captured the soul of the song and put it into a visual composition, it has that Danny Hastings signature all over.”
