Diamond Supply Co. Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Basquiat Collection
Denim jackets, hoodies, and more apparel wrapped in iconic artworks.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, Diamond Supply Co. teamed up with the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat on a commemorative collection of outerwear, apparel, and headwear. The LA imprint rummaged through an extensive archive of Basquiat’s neo-expressionist paintings and scrawled graffiti works to curate a striking selection of graphics to adorn denim jackets, reversible bombers, hoodies, T-shirts alongside tote bags and skate decks.
“We continue to stay true to our roots and ethos by creating new, unexpected products through partnerships with other creative individuals and companies,” said Nicholas Tershay aka Nick Diamond. “We are thrilled to release the Basquiat collaboration to celebrate our 20th anniversary by honoring an artist whose fine artwork reflects the same rebellious style as the skate and street world, just like Diamond.”
The Basquiat collection will be available at Diamond Supply Co.’s online shop and flagship stores in Los Angeles and New York City this August 24. In related news, Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris is set to launch a major retrospective on Basquiat alongside Gustav Klimt protege, Egon Schiele.
