The "McGold Card" Grants Free McDonald's Food for Life
Dreams do come true.
Today, McDonald’s will offer a chance to win a “McGold Card,” which is essentially a lifetime prize that grants its owner free McDonald’s food for life.
Unlike the American Express Black Card or the ultra-exclusive cards granted to the most frequent of flyers of certain airlines, the “McGold Card” is actually a gold-plated phone case in conjunction with the McDonald’s app rather than a physical piece of plastic. Further, within the rules of the sweepstakes, McDonald’s divulges that the prize is monetary in value and includes fairly-accommodating usage and time restrictions:
One (1) prize is available to be won. The winner, subject to verification, will receive McDonald’s food for Life (for the winner only), up to two meals per week for 50 years, awarded as a $1,000 credit on winner’s McDonald’s App and $35,400 cash, plus $15,600 to offset taxes on the prize, awarded as a check for $51,000. Winner will also receive a custom gold-plated phone case. Total ARV: $52,350. Winner may choose a cash alternative of $1,000 in lieu of $1,000 App credit, added to check. The Sweepstakes Entities make no representation or warranty that the amount included to help pay taxes will be sufficient to pay winner’s entire tax liability.
The sweepstakes begins August 10 and runs until August 24. To enter, guests will need to make a purchase using mobile order and pay in the McDonald’s app. Subsequently, a winner may be selected by emailing entry@amoeentry.com with the date you are sending the email in mm/dd/yy format in the subject line and your first and last name in the email body.
