'Interview Magazine' Is Relaunching Next Month
The company won’t be paying off its $3 million USD debts.

After announcing it was folding earlier this year, Interview Magazine is now set to relaunch with a September issue. The comeback issue is set to feature model Hari Nef on its cover, and will reportedly be shot by legendary duo Inez and Vinoodh.
The relaunch is poised to take place after the Andy Warhol-founded magazine’s current owner, Peter Brant, sells the publication to Singleton, a company also owned entirely by Peter Brant. This move follows the liquidation of the magazine, and means that Interview will be able to relaunch without having to pay any of its debts — believed to be over $3 million USD — to partners, freelancers and staff. The September issue hinges on this deal being tied up by August 31, although it could be delayed by legal action from Fabien Baron, the former editorial director who is believed to be owed $600,000 USD.
