Sitting down with Digital Domain, one of the effect houses that worked on the film, Slash Film has shared a concept video on what the darker ending would have looked like. Instead of seeing half the universe’s population turning into “dust” due to the snap of Thanos’ fingers, the supervillian can be seen walking through a pool of blood, representing all the victims he has killed. VFX Supervisor Dan DeLeeuw went on to state, “it got a bit dark,” which is why the idea was dropped.
