YSTRDY'S TMRRW References New York Culture for FW18
Featuring collaborations and nods to NYC landmarks.
Japanese designer Kazuya Sugano and his YSTRDY’S TMRRW label are back with a Fall/Winter 2018 lookbook. The latest collection is heavily influenced by New York’s different subcultures, inspired by Sugano’s time in the city last year. The capsule references this influence through twists on famous NYC logos, as well as collaborations with American brands including Starter and Lee.
One of the stand-out pieces is an oversized puffer jacket with Chinese text on the collar as a nod to a Lower East Side reference and to Wu Tang Clan. Iconography in the collection includes a take on the “Big Apple,” a YSTRD’S TMRRW-themed New York Yankees logo and a collaboration with FRESH RECORDS. The full collection is set to drop via the COVERCHORD web store on July 14.
