POLIQUANT's SS19 Collection Expresses a Sense of "Public Pressure"
The latest from the fledgling Japanese label.
After revealing a choice collaboration with gravis, fledgling Japanese label POLIQUANT returns to unveil its Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
Spotlighted in a lookbook that was shot at The Reversible Destiny Lofts and designed by Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins, the playful colors and patterns of the range shine in front of the habitable work of procedural architecture. For the upcoming season, POLIQUANT draws inspiration from rich tones and Japanese Electro band Yellow Magic Orchestra and their 1979 song “Rydeen” molding the reference into its ideology of form and function. Notable pieces from the Spring/Summer 2019 collection include the bright full print Red Koi Wind Reflect Bonding Coat constructed of premium rayon textiles from Kyoto, the set of up-cycled over-dyed basketball jerseys and the printed camo Techno Blocking Jacquard combo.
Check out the lookbook above and head over to POLIQUANT’s official website to learn more about the Spring/Summer 2019 collection ahead of its January 2019 release.
